Doesn’t work on leather furniture tho ☹️
Yes, I used gorilla hot glue and glued the cord tape to the edge of the rug that I cut. It has been a year now and it still looks fantastic and holding strong. Soo much cheaper than using carpet tape. Joann’s has a good selection, also try hobby lobby. It’s not that visable since I matched the carpet color closely.
The beauty of the lock depends on personal preferences and feelings. Her explanation on the installation of the knob is excellent 👌
Look nice..Do u have to remove the pain to painted black?..
your original doorknobs looked much better tbh lol
Thanks for the video
I'm an insurance agent, and one of my clients turns bowls and over the years has given me seven gorgeous bowls he made out of different woods. They are works of art and lining them down a wall is just a wonderful way to display them.
This is sooo beautiful and cozy
aaaand that's why they charge us $25 to these.
This is such a beautiful DIY!! I came across this on my Pinterest for you page and then clicked to read your article you wrote on your blog with the instructions on how you created this. Just stopping by to say how lovely this turned out & I can't wait to try it myself!
Appreciate that! It was a fun little project.
Does that mat board cutter, cut the board in a bevel cut?
I’ve been having a really hard time to find someone that teaches what the inside looks like. How does it close and it locks everybody misses that concept
Hi, So a dummy door only has the knob on the outside and you push it close (it doesn't have a lock or anything). A passage door has a locking mechanism. If you search "dummy door knob vs passage door knob" then I'm sure a visual will pop up!
My neighbors broke the door on ours
Time to have them help you replace it.
This was very helpful. Thanks! ❤
It probably would have looked good just painted black tbh
Yeah. Restored correctly, old scroll work is beautiful.
Good video. It's not fair that so few have watched it.
The mat board cutter now costs $40 at Amazon, not $10.
How crazy 😢
Thank you. Having bought a rectangular rug and now wanting it to be round, I was wondering if there’s a way to trim the edges after cutting it. So this helped a lot. However, to minimise the risk of excessively cutting off the pile, it’s probably best to part the pile right side up - like parting hair, and tape it down. Then cut right side up. Yes marking it would be a little more fussy, but you can use pin tacks as markers. Draw a line as you did and then cut with the pile safely taped out the way. That way the pile will fall back over the edges once the binding is finished. Okay I’ve never done it, but I have done a fair bit of DIY/crafting etc. The idea just came to me after seeing your finished rug. But I’m pretty sure this method would achieve better results.
very helpful video! Although I would recommend getting heavy duty scissors and not a box cutter to cut the rug.
Thank you, I cut our rug down perfectly following your tutorial. But I did not use rug binding since it is so expensive. I went to Joann’s fabric store and found some cord piping in the trim area and got 3 yards for under $12. It looks beautiful and worked exactly the same way but much cheaper.
Wow thanks for the idea!
Did you hot glue the piping along the perimeter?
Our house has existing holes for this and try as I might I cannot seem to find the cable when I send it in on down through the top hole. It already had a few cables in there the previous owner left us
All tips are awesome, you did an amazing job 🥰
Thanks so much!
What paint did you use
spray paint. =)
This looks amazing!!
It looks great! Thank you.
Yessss! Thank you!
Echo
This looks so cozy and warm ! I love it 💚
hello, How can mat Board cutting in Different shape??? ( oval shape, heart shape, etc
Love it too🥰
Yeah it would help if you showed how HELPFUL it was 😂
Where did you purchase the tape? Thanks!
Great tutorial!
I love ❤️ free libraries. Wish we had more where I live.
Make one yourself!
@@Cosmic_dust223 If you build one more will come.
I'm working on one! 😀@@ryan61384
Same
There actually are so very many of them BUT that they aren't registered on the app. Hidden gems everywhere. Pro and con for that. Like, that little library app should have a cross reference for s*x offenders in the area which voids the unlisted Book Nook from being allowed on the app...
great job
Well what bonding material did you use?
It's always the husbands doing all the measurements
This tutorial helped us so much, thank you! It was much easier than expected!
This is really helpful, thank you!
Hi! Just curious- in your experience is it safe to run the power cord behind the wall? I was told by Best Buy that it’s a fire hazard
That's where the power comes from lol. Wouldn't put a power brick in though
It’s 100 percent a fire hazard and you should never do this. Place a dedicated outlet behind tv hidden and Piggyback it to the outlet below. Its is a terrible idea to do it this way.
I would have left the scrolls and repainted as I think the art work would look nice.
Instructions unclear. I still suck at dancing.
Thank you for this video. You explain things so well in a simple way. Thanks again, umesh :)
A razor blade? You’re cutting a thin & cheap rug. No razor is gonna work on real carpets
very true .
She was obviously using a utility blade not a shaving blade lol.
When she said razor blade, I think she was referring to a utility knife blade. I've cut regular carpet with those. You have to change the blade occasionally because it loses its edge after awhile, but it works.
Audio is garbage
Hi! Where are your supplies from??
Paint colour plz
Thank you so much. I've been searching for this exactly. I bought a indoor outdoor rug at sams club. Its too big and needs resized. Did you use carpet knife or just a regular utility knife? Was the level necessary? Sorry for all the questions this is my first time. I will be doing this alone. Thank you 😊
So what if I need to do it but also like 30 meters away and upstairs and then outside to a camera
would love to know the total specs of your closet? the length and width - thank you!
